ข่าวการจัดกิจกรรมวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 85 พรรษา ของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว

เมื่อวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม  2555 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลิสบอน จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสวันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา 85 พรรษาของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ณ  โรงแรม  Marriott  Lisboa โดยมีแขกเข้าร่วมงานประมาณ  200 คน  ประกอบด้วย  ประกอบด้วยแขกสำคัญต่างๆ ได้แก่ Duke of Braganza (เชื้อพระวงศ์เก่าของโปรตุเกส) /ออท. Antonio Almeida Ribeiro ปลัด กต. โปรตุเกส / ออท. Pedro Catarino  ผู้แทนรัฐบาลโปรตุเกสประจำเขตปกครองตนเองหมู่เกาะ Azores/ คณะทูตานุทูต ผู้แทนหน่วยงานภาครัฐ นักธุรกิจ สื่อมวลชน กลุ่มองค์กรต่าง ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และชุมชนคนไทยในโปรตุเกส         

ในโอกาสนี้ นายชาคร  สุชีวะ  เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลิสบอน  ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ ใจความโดยสรุปว่า

1. การจัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองฯ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อน้อมเกล้าฯ ถวายราชสดุดีแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ในโอกาสที่ทรงมีพระชนมายุ 85 พรรษาในวันที่ 5 ธ.ค. 2555 พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวทรงเปรียบเสมือน “พ่อของแผ่นดิน” ซึ่งเป็นที่รักและเคารพของพสกนิกรไทย และทรงอุทิศพระวรกายในการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของพสกนิกรทั่วประเทศ ดังนั้น วันเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา จึงเป็นโอกาสสำหรับชาวไทยทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศในการร่วมเฉลิมฉลองในวโรกาสมหามงคล

2. ไทยและโปรตุเกสมี คสพ. ฉันมิตรประเทศตั้งแต่ศตวรรษที่ 16 เป็นต้นมา และปีที่ผ่านมา (2011) เป็นปีแห่งการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 500 ปี แห่ง คสพ.ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยและโปรตุเกส  ซึ่งมีการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ทั้งสองประเทศ รวมทั้งพิธีเปิดศาลาไทย ณ สวนสาธารณะ Belem กรุงลิสบอน เดือน ก.พ. 2555 ซึ่งสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงเป็นองค์ประธานในพิธีเปิดศาลาไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ

3. ในอดีตไทยเรียนรู้จากโปรตุเกสในการป้องกันประเทศ การใช้ไข่ประกอบอาหาร ในปัจจุบัน ชาวโปรตุเกสมีความสนใจเรียนรู้เกี่ยวกับวัฒนธรรมไทย อาหารไทย มวยไทย ตลอดจนพระพุทธ ศาสนาและการนั่งสมาธิ ความสัมพันธ์ที่ใกล้ชิดและแน่นแฟ้นจะนำไปสู่การขยายความร่วมมือในด้านต่างๆ  ให้มากขึ้น ทั้งนี้ ปทท. มีส่วนช่วยสนับสนุนโปรตุเกสในภาวะวิกฤตเศรษฐกิจ โดยปัจจุบันมีแรงงานไทยประมาณ 700 คน ทำงานในธุรกิจสปา และฟาร์มการเกษตรซึ่งส่งออกสินค้าสร้างรายได้ให้แก่โปรตุเกส นอกจากนี้ บริษัท ไทย ยูเนี่ยน โฟรเซ่น โปรดักส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) ได้ลงทุนโดยตรง ในบริษัท European Seafood Investments Portugal (ESIP) ซึ่งมีโรงงานในเมือง Peniche และจ้างแรงงานโปรตุเกสประมาณ 500 คน เพื่อผลิตปลากระป๋องภายใต้ตราสินค้า “MWbrands”

นอกจากนี้  ยังมีกิจกรรมอื่น ๆ ภายในงาน  ได้แก่ การเผยแพร่อาหารและศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย  การสาธิตการแกะสลักผักและผลไม้ การประชาสัมพันธ์การท่องเที่ยว  สินค้าอาหารและเครื่องปรุงของไทย รวมทั้งสินค้าหัตถกรรมของไทย ซึ่งแขกที่เข้าร่วมงานต่างให้ความสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก 

Reception on the occasion of National Day of Thailand

5 December 2012 at Marriot Lisboa Hotel

On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of 85^th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon organized a reception on  5^th December 2012, at Marriott Lisboa Hotel.

Around 200 guests attended the event including high-ranking representatives from the Portuguese authorities, government officials, diplomatic corps, businessmen, representatives from cultural and educational institutions, local media and Thai communities in Portugal. The Embassy was also honoured to receive Duke of Braganza of Portugal in the reception.

H.E. Mr. Chakorn  Suchiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Portugal, delivered his remarks in honour of His Majesty for His Majesty’s tireless dedication to improving the lives of all Thai people.

Thailand and Portugal enjoyed cordial friendship since the 16^th century. Last year, Thailand and Portugal celebrated the 500^th years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, with many activities being held in both countries. The highlight of the celebration was marked on February 2012 by the opening ceremony of a “Sala Thai” or a Thai Pavilion at Belem Park in Lisbon, presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.    

In the past, Thailand learnt from Portugal on how to defend the frontiers and to use eggs in cuisine. Now, the Portuguese are eager to know more about Thai culture, cuisine, Buddhist principles and meditation, further strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

In addition, Thailand has played its part in Portuguese economy in this economic crisis period. Around 700 Thai workers in spa business and agriculture farms contribute in export revenues earned by their companies. Moreover, Thailand’s renowned Thai Union Frozen Group has made direct investment in Portugal through European Seafood Investments Portugal, which has a plant in Peniche, producing canned mackerel and sardine.

Along with the reception, promotion of Thai culture and products were included, namely; Thai cuisine, fruit and vegetable carving, Thai ingredients and Thai handicrafts. Tourism promotion of Thailand was also included. Both reception and those activities drew much of attraction to the guest indeed.
