On 12 June 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon organised a volunteer activity to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana's Birthday Anniversary on 3 June 2024. The Embassy’s officials and staff cleaned up the Thai Pavilion - Sala Thai and its surrounding area, located at Vasco Da Gama Garden, Belem, Lisbon.
On 22 February 2012, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over official inauguration of Sala Thai on the auspicious occasion of the 500th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Portugal.
