On 7 June 2024 from 09.30 – 16.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon together with Thai community in Portugal organized volunteer activities for the celebration on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on 28th July 2024, at the Centro de Apoio ao Sem Abrigo (CASA).

 

The activities commenced with a handover ceremony of food supplies and packaging to CASA by the Embassy and Thai community, followed by the Embassy and Thai community’s volunteer in preparation of food ingredients, cooking of both vegan and non - vegan food, and food packing. In the evening of the same day, CASA’s staff also distributed the said packed food to 400 people experiencing homelessness in Lisbon.

On this occasion, Thai entrepreneurs in Portugal also made donation and handed over food supplies to CASA.

 

The Embassy, in this regard, wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to Thai community and entrepreneurs for their support and participation in this volunteer event.
