On 26 June 2024, Mrs. Suwannee Sirivejchapun, President of Thailand – Portugal Parliamentarian Friendship Group and delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. José Pedro Aguiar-Branco, President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic. Ms. Supapan Tiapiriyakij, chargé d'affaire, a.i. and Mr. Tanaphum Leelaporn, Counsellor also presented at the meeting.

Both side attached great importance to the long-standing relations between Thailand and Portugal and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Thai Parliamentary and the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic. They exchanged views on various issues including leadership role of women in public administration of the two countries and gender inclusivity.
