เมื่อวันที่ 20 ตุลาคม 2555 นายดนัย เมนะโพธิ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา เป็นผู้แทนสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมการทำบุญและถวายสังฆทานของกลุ่มแรงงานไทยซึ่งทำงานในสถานประกอบการ ELS ที่เมือง Almargem do Bispo ซึ่งอยู่ห่างจากกรุงลิสบอนไปทางตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ประมาณ 40 กิโลเมตร โดยกลุ่มแรงงานไทยพร้อมด้วยสมาชิกในครอบครัวจำนวนประมาณ 50 คน ได้นิมนต์พระวชิโร เจ้าอาวาสสำนักสงฆ์เถรวาทในโปรตุเกส ไปในพิธีทำบุญและถวายสังฆทานดังกล่าว

On 20 October 2012, Mr. Danai Menabodhi, Minister Counsellor, is a representative of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon attending a Buddhist ceremony organized by a group of Thai workers who work at ELS company in Almargem do Bispo, located 40 kilometers in the northwest of Lisbon. The workers and their families of around 50 people invited Vajiro Bhikkhu, Abbot of the Buddhist Theravada Monastery in Lisbon, to perform the religious ceremony.
