Thailand was handed over the duty as Chair of ACLP for the first half of 2026

On 26 February 2026, H.E. Mrs. Kanokwan Pengsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Portugal, was handed over the duty as a Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Lisbon Portugal (ACLP) from H.E. Mr. Paul Raymund R. Cortes, Ambassador of the Philippines to Portugal at his Residence,
the ACLP comprising of Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste and Vietnnam acknowledge the report of ACLP activities during the second half of 2025 under the chairmanship of the Philippines and also discussed the activities to be conducted in Portugal until June 2026 during the ACLP’s chairmanship of Thailand.
The ACLP consists of five ASEAN countries which have the embassies in Portugal, therefore the ACLP Chair is rotated among the five resident ASEAN ambassadors in Lisbon every six months.
