On 22 April 2025, Mrs. Kanokwan Pengsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Portugal, hosted a working lunch in honour of Mr. Miguel van Uden and Mr. João Ventura, Partner Administration Directors of Real Food, the owner company of H3 restaurant chain, at the Ambassador’s Residence.

Both sides discussed the opportunity to import qualified Thai Hom Mali Rice from Thailand to Portugal. Thai Hom Mali rice is renowned for its distinctive and outstanding quality in terms of its texture and fragrance. At present there are around 60 branchs of H3 Restaurant across Portugal, where the customers can enjoy and taste "Arroz Thai" menu.  They exchanged views on the qualified Thai Hom Mali Rice and other varieties of Thai rice distributed for sale in the Portuguese market and import channels.

In this connection, the Ambassador presented Thai Coconut Rice served with Grilled Chicken with Turmeric and Papaya Salad to the representatives of H3 restaurant chain, which intends to use qualified Thai Hom Mali Rice in its menus as it is a favorite among Portuguese customers.
