On 8 February 2024, Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to Portugal hosted a dinner in honour of Dr. Alberto Laplaine Guimaraes , Secretary General of the Municipality of Lisbon and esteemed members of Circulo Sud Express (CSE), a renowned gourmet Club of Portugal. Also present at the dinner was Ms. Patcharamon Trakultivakorn, Minister Counsellor (Commercial Affairs)/ Director of the Office of Commercial Affairs in Madrid, which is responsible for promotion of Thai-Portugal trade ties.

 

In this occasion, Ambassador Krongkanit presented authentic Thai cuisine to the Club including Thai style dumplings, Thai rice noodle salad rolls, Thai spicy soup with fried gourami, Thai grilled pork neck served with Northeastern style dipping sauce, som tam with sticky rice and Thai tea cake. The Ambassador also introduced a glimpse of Thai fruit carving art. The esteemed CSE Club enjoyed tasting Thai culinary art of authentic flavours and aesthetic food presentation. They also expressed interest in distinctive and high-quality Thai arabica coffee from Chaing Mai and Thai oolong tea from Chiang Rai.
