On 11 October 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon organized a merit making ceremony and offerings to the venerable Buddhist monks at Sumedharam Monastery in Ericeira to devote the merits to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. In this regard the Embassy’s officials performed a volunteer service by cleaning the kitchen area of the Monastery in remembrance of His Majesty’s immeasurable benevolence extended to Thai people and the nation.
