The Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon organised the Thai Festival in Portugal at the Thai Pavilion, located in the heart of Vasco da Gama Garden, Belem, Lisbon, from 21-23 June 2024. The Festival received well attention among Portuguese people and tourists and thus has been organised for seven consecutive years. This year’s festival comprised activities demonstrated focused areas of Thailand’s Soft Power policy, e.g. Thai cultural performance on stage including tradition Thai dances, Mauythai and Thai massage demonstration, Thai country music, classical music, Dhamma Talk by the venerable monks of Sumedharam Monastery and Thai fashion show. There were Thai restaurant and food vendor booths offered authentic Thai food as well as Thai cultural activity booths demonstrating Thai fruit carving, Thai origami and Thai umbrella painting. Royal Thai Embassy’s Team Thailand and also Thai Union, a Thai company investing in Portugal, also actively participated in the Festival.
