เมื่อวันที่ 15 พ.ย. 56 นายชาคร สุชีวะ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงลิสบอน พร้อมด้วยนายเกษมสันต์ ทองศิริ เลขานุการเอก ได้รับเชิญให้เข้าร่วมเป็นเกียรติในงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำ “One Night in Bangkok” ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของงานเทศกาลอาหารนานาชาติ International Gourmet Festival 2103 ระหว่างวันที่ 7-17 พ.ย. 56 ที่โรงแรม Vila Joya เมืองอัลการ์ฟ งานเทศกาลอาหารนานาชาติฯ ครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 7 และมีผู้ประกอบอาหารที่มีชื่อเสียงจากทั่วโลกได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมงานกว่า 40 คน

ปีนี้เป็นครั้งแรกที่ผู้จัดงานเชิญผู้ประกอบอาหารจำนวน 6 คนจากประเทศไทย ได้แก่1) เชฟเอียน กิตติชัย จากภัตตาคาร Issaya 2) David Thompton จากภัตตาคาร Nahm 3) Herve Frerard จากภัตตาคาร Le Beaulieu 4) Gaggan Anand จากภัตตาคาร Gaggan 5) และ 6) เชฟกล้า ประกอบกิจ และ Marco Westmaas จาก Trisara Resort เพื่อนำเสนออาหารไทยและนานาชาติในงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำ “One Night in Bangkok” ในวันที่ 15 พ.ย. 56 ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนจากการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย และมีแขกเข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำฯ ประมาณ 100 คน ซึ่งต่างชื่นชมฝีมือการทำอาหารของผู้ประกอบอาหารทั้ง 6 คน ซึ่งนำเสนออาหารไทยและนานาชาติที่ผสมผสานอย่างลงตัวระหว่างรสชาติและการนำเสนอ


On 15 November 2013, H.E. Ambassador Chakorn Suchiva and Mr. Kasemsan Thongsiri, First Secretary, were invited to “One Night in Bangkok” dinner at International Gourmet Festival 2013 at Hotel Vila Joya in Algarve, the Southern region of Portugal. More than 40 of the world’s most outstanding chefs were invited to the festival’s 7th edition. 

One of the most anticipated events in the festival, “One Night in Bangkok”, presented by Tourism Authority of Thailand, was the first-ever dinner prepared by 6 famous chefs from Thailand, namely Ian Kittichai from “Issaya” restaurant, David Thompson from “Nahm” restaurant, Herve Frerard from “Le Beaulieu” restaurant, Gaggan Anand from “Gaggan” restaurant, Kla Prakobkit and Marco Westmaas from “Trisara Resort.” More than 100 guests were delighted and treated by specially-prepared Thai and international cuisine, which was highlighted by the perfect blend of exquisite taste and splendid food presentation.
