On the occasion of 100th anniversary commemorating the contributions of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni of King Rama VII, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lisbon organized a merit-making ceremony dedicated to Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni at Sumedharama Monastery in Ericeira, Portugal. The Buddhist ceremony was presided over by Ajahn Vajiro, Abbot of Sumedharama Monastery. On this occasion, Mrs. Kanokwan Pengsuwan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Portugal, led officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in participating in Buddhist chanting and offering alms to monks in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni with profound remembrance and deepest respect.
